Having scored 139 after electing to bat, Kenya dismissed Canada for 118 with seven balls to spare.The top five Kenya batsmen reached double-figures but couldn’t score more than 20 as they lost wickets regularly and were 76 for 5, primarily due to two wickets from left-arm spinner Hiral Patel. Rakep Patel and Aga then put on 57 off 37 for the sixth wicket which helped them reach 139.After Canada lost Rizwan Cheema in the second over, Hiral and Ruvindu Gunasekera kept them in the hunt, scoring 45 together. But Obuya and Otieno took six of the remaining nine wickets as Canada lost their last seven for 35 runs. Only one other batsman, apart from Hiral and Gunasekera, Usman Limbada reached double figures with a 12-ball 21 but Canada fell short by 21 runs.

They will expect to return to London by the weekend with that reputation enhanced.They look brisk, vigorous and confident in their good habits, the smart, well-drilled side down from the big city. He has an insistent, all-brushed-up style, swings the ball and, at 31, is logically approaching his peak. He felt so good in himself that afterwards he even described the day as probably the best in his career.Victory against Somerset would take them to the top of the First Division with the LV= Championship not far short of midway and encourage hopes of winning their first title for 20 years when Mike Gatting was at the helm.Gatt would drink to that; in fact, he would probably eat to it as well. He should start tucking in his napkin now because on the evidence of the past two days they have a good shout. Adversários desta quinta-feira, quando duelarão pela semifinal da Taça Guanabara, Fla e Flu adotam a mesma estratégia, de ter a posse para controlar as ações e, consequentemente, a partida. Com a bola, atacam e se defendem. No entanto, os times exercem isso com uma dinâmica diferente, e esse pode ser o segredo para se chegar à vitória no clássico.

Para manter a posse, o Tricolor utiliza bastante a saída de seus zagueiros e laterais, além de um volante que muitas vezes se junto à dupla de zaga para auxiliar na troca de passes. Já a equipe de Abel controla a partir da participação constante de seus meias na distribuição de jogo, diminuindo o peso de seus defensores, que participam, mas em menor escala.

O lateral-esquerdo Mascarenhas e o zagueiro Matheus Ferraz são os líderes em posse de bola do campeonato, enquanto que o cabeça de área Aírton é o que mais troca passes.
